You might have noticed we haven’t had a show in a while

Guess what? If you answered “chicken butt,” you would not be too far off. Those of you that might give a crap about the show would by now have probably noticed that we have not had a show in quite a while. Two weeks, in fact. Now, don’t have too much worry. We have not stopped producing shows. The problem, however, is that the time to produce those shows have greatly been reduced, or, at the very least, shuffled around.

And why has this happened? Well, the time that would normally be set aside to edit has instead been changed over to working. Working at a job. You know, one of those places that allows you to eat and pay bills.

So, where does that leave us? We, as a collective, will have to figure out a shift change in shooting and editing time. This may take a bit, but hopefully not too long; that is, a week or two. Let’s hope it all gets sorted out.

In the mean time, I suggest you have a party. Do it.

Visitor question: What can we do better? [feedback]

It has currently been about one month since we internally started the “let’s write more shit” campaign over here at P&B. Since then we have attempted to provide more content to the site and hopefully make it a better place overall. But we need your help.

The title question is what basically applies here. Of the things around the site, what are some improvements you would like to see? This question can be for the show or the site or Joe’s beard or anything. Help us improve what we do and it will all be a more enjoyable experience for all.

Just leave some comments in the comment box below or email us.

A Funny Buddy Cop Movie? What is this, the 90s?

I have recently seen several films starring Irish actors and I must say, they have been awesome. What I mean is, the movies and the acting have been great. This film looks like it will be holding up my high expectations.

Looking Toward the Future!

Hello all.  I have been tasked with posting this post, since it was my idea in the first place, so bear with me as I fumble through this.  Being a first time poster after having co-hosted 120 episodes is a major drag.

Like I said at the end of the last episode, this post is going to lay out a couple of options for the next Arthouse film that we review next month.  The purpose of this post is for you, the viewers, to weigh in and let us know what you would like to hear about.  So enough with the blathering and on with the chlorophyll.

People search for the darnedest things [queries]

We certainly discuss a lot of interesting things here at P&B. Basically everything involves films and books, and that makes sense given the subject matter of the show. But what do the users actively search for when they are needing to find something? Let’s take a look.

HTML5 video testaroo

Please refresh your window if the video is not displayed.

The video above is simply Episode 105, but we are testing out a beta version of Longtail’s HTML5 video player. The bandwagon has arrived, people, and we have jumped right on it.

I cannot guarantee that the video will play for you. Safari should be able to handle it; Firefox is still going nutso. It hasn’t been tested in Chrome yet because hitting CTRL+Space, opening an instance of Quicksilver, and hitting CH+Return IS JUST TOO MUCH FOR ME.

We’ll be playing with the code some and updating this post a little bit, but let us know if you can/cannot see anything. Break out the iPhones and iPads!
Updates on this post after the jump.
