After weeks of doing nothing, we finally throw together a show that worthy enough to call a show. For you sharp eared folk, we mention in the opening segment that we will be talking about a couple of films in this episode, but due to some audio tomfoolery, only one of those made it in. So take that!
Ah, the Fourth of July. It’s a great time of the year when we all go out and light things that end up exploding. It’s also the time of year when the biggest of the big summer popcorn films come out to amaze the masses. For this episode, we discuss that big film, and we nitpick the crap out of it!
Back to the OKCMOA this week for a viewing of a documentary all about art. And Joe gets a new tattoo!
Oh no! Who left the memory card at home so we are only down to one camera this week?! That’d be Garret. As a result, we decide to do a shorter show focusing on one thing: lanterns that are green.
Colin is absent this week (and for the coming weeks), so our second camera is rather static this week. That’s ok, though, because we just plopped it on the extra tripod…the extra one that is broken and wobbly. Oh well!
Sometimes I am the laziest person. This week’s episode is now pretty much last week’s because I wasn’t able to get to editing it for a while. Hopefully, the show we filmed just a couple of hours ago will go up in just a day or two. It’ll be like Christmas!
Video games and movies are vastly different things, we all know that. This distinction is ever apparent in the way sequels are handled between both media. For video games, a chance to come back for one more usually means the addition of many gameplay elements and the ability to expound on an established story. For films, it’s generally used as a great way to make a quick buck, as we have seen this week.
Well, we might have successfully escaped the wrath called upon us by people who thought the world would end (after the third or fourth time he predicted the same thing), but that doesn’t mean we as humans can’t go ahead and destroy the world on our own! No special help needed. This week we watch one of the most depressing films ever.
Our third and possibly last (for a while) foray to the Botanical Gardens in OKC was met with a somewhat warm reception from the populace: a security guard told us we couldn’t step in the flower beds, even if that meant getting a better shot. He was nice about it, though. Somebody give that guy a medal.
Unlike the week prior, downtown Oklahoma City was not ripe with activity when we filmed. It was basically deserted. We did, however, manage to find a security guard at the park that had opinions about Thor. Apparently Thor is just a demi-god, so he doesn’t have to have emotions. Now you know.
