Looking Toward the Future!

Hello all.  I have been tasked with posting this post, since it was my idea in the first place, so bear with me as I fumble through this.  Being a first time poster after having co-hosted 120 episodes is a major drag.

Like I said at the end of the last episode, this post is going to lay out a couple of options for the next Arthouse film that we review next month.  The purpose of this post is for you, the viewers, to weigh in and let us know what you would like to hear about.  So enough with the blathering and on with the chlorophyll.

Episode 120: On the Rooftops

For our second time viewing a film at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, we chose to see Bill Cunningham New York, a documentary about a very genuine old man who takes photos for a little, small town newspaper called The New York Times.

Back to the museum this week to see Bill Cunningham New York

Leave it to Valve Software to make it so difficult to focus on anything but the amazing games that they produce. This post was scheduled to go up two days ago, but that damned Portal 2 decided to make me forget everything else that has existed in the world.

Now that I am out of my puzzle-coma, I am glad to announce that this week we will be back at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art to watch with our very own eyes Bill Cunningham New York.

Episode 119: The One Where a Guy Nearly Wrecks a Segway

Colin decided to leave the state for some reason, so Joe and myself barely managed to put together a show. BARELY MANAGED. Through courage and grace, we somehow were able to stand around and sarcastically discuss a book and two movies. And then all of the sudden some dude nearly ate it on a Segway. And if you are keeping track, this is the second time that we have filmed downtown in OKC where someone has misunderstood the intricacies of Segway operation.

People search for the darnedest things [queries]

We certainly discuss a lot of interesting things here at P&B. Basically everything involves films and books, and that makes sense given the subject matter of the show. But what do the users actively search for when they are needing to find something? Let’s take a look.

Episode 118: Uno Cientos Diez y Ocho

Spanish was never my strong suit, but I think that says “one hundred eighteen.” In any case, it was quite beautiful during this shoot to the point of sunburns. Summer is here and there is nothing we can do about it. Zeus on the other hand…

A film series that won’t die and some blue bird [AtMPS]

When movie studios look for a quick buck, bringing up an old franchise from the dead seems like a great idea. “People remember this name. It’ll make money!” It’s unfortunate when they choose the wrong things to resurrect (did we really need Indie IV?). Why can’t we have good films come back to us? Where’s my The Saint 2: Colder Fusion or The Return of Gladiator: Zombimus Maximus?

This week we might be revisiting a world where Neve Campbell exists, and also there’s also some film about a blue bird who can’t fly. Read more…

Episode 117: Check Out This Fountain

In this episode there is a fountain. And it sprays in such a way that is mystifying and magical. We were captivated by it and all of its inner workings.

In reality, it was kind of a small affair, but Joe did make the comment that the water streams looked like solid water-turds floating trough the air. A scholar and a gentleman, that one.

So much crap is coming out this week [AtMPS]

Alright April, you have come in an attempt to make us all fools, but it is us that have fooled YOU. We all have no shame, so there really isn’t anything that you could have done to make us feel bad. Now it’s time to vote for way too many movies.
