Forgiving the Franklins! Let’s get nekkid.

I was going to write about a book for this update, but I just saw a movie I have to tell everyone about.

The first review on the back of the box says, “The perfect antidote to The Passion of the Christ.”  If that doesn’t get you interested, are you sure this is the site for you?

Forgiving the Franklins is an unapologetic look at darkest parts of small, Christian communities.  Read more…

Pressed & Bound Now Back On iTunes

As of today, the HD feed for the show has been resubmitted to iTunes and everything should be working again. Sorry for the inconvenience. For whatever reason Apple will not allow one to change feed information after it’s been submitted if you don’t still own the old name, as it was in our case, even though the feed is tied into a specific account. Oh well. The link to subscribe via iTunes is to the right of the page. The direct link is right below:

Nintendorks Radio Episode 33

Again, like last week, Garret was invited to host the Niintendorks Radio Show. And so he did. The topics of the day, since it was a very James Bondy weekend, were spy games and if there are any spy games other than Goldeneye that are good. You can find the episode here:

Garret Guest Hosted Another Show

Over the weekend, Garret was asked very nicely to guest host the Nintendorks Radio Show. We realize that being on other shows might nearly fall into the lines of treason, but such an act of selfless hosting may end up being for the greater good. You can find a more detailed description of the show here:

Yes, I really like The Forbidden Kingdom.

I’ve heard mixed reviews from some people I know regarding The Forbidden Kingdom.  First, I’d like to deal with some of the major beefs people seem to have.

Some Craziness Has Occurred; URL Change

Things have changed ever so slightly here at Pressed & Bound. If you’re someone who has come regularly to the site, you obviously have noticed the change. Recently, the domain pressednbound.com had expired. The domain was linked to an older email address that I had from days gone by, so any message I had received saying that the domain was expiring went unnoticed. The result, of course, was that someone grabbed the other name, and have subsequently filled that page with links that go nowhere. That site, as of this moment, is not affiliated with us in any way. The material on that site is theirs and theirs alone.

I am going to be working to see if we are able to acquire the domain back, but we’ll see. If not, then PressednBound.net may be the new permanent home of the show. This should not affect those who download the show via iTunes (I hope). There are a couple of things that I have to do to make sure everything is pointing in the right direction, but ultimately everything on iTunes should be fine. I’ve submitted a request to get the feed url switched over, but if that doesn’t work, then there is the possibility that those of you who have subscribed via iTunes will need to resubscribe. Right now in iTunes you may see that the feed is “invalid” since it is currently pointing in the wrong direction, and I’m just waiting to hear back from Apple to get this all figured out.

You can, however, if you’re so inclined, subscribe manually. The new feed urls are:

If you currently subscribe via iTunes, to manually subscribe, just go to Advanced -> Subscribe to Podcast… and then input one of the two links above. Most all other podcast subscription apps have something similar.

Also, there may be some squirrelly links here on the site for a few days as I make sure everything is changed, so if you happen across a link that takes you to the .com, I’m sorry. Just hit the back button and you should be fine.

I hope this doesn’t inconvenience anyone too greatly. We appreciate your understanding, and thanks for coming to the site and watching the show. Have a nice day.

-Garret
